Aleksandr Lazutkin
BIOGRAPHY
Aleksandr Ivanovich Lazutkin (born 23 June 1957 in Moscow, Russian SFSR) is a Russian former cosmonaut. Selected in 1992 as part of the NPOE‑10 group, he flew his sole spaceflight aboard Soyuz TM‑25, launching on 8 February 1997 to the Mir space station as a flight engineer for the Mir EO‑22 expedition. The mission lasted 184 days, 22 hours and 13 minutes, during which Lazutkin performed a variety of scientific and technical tasks but did not conduct any EVA. He retired from the cosmonaut corps in 1999 and later worked in the Russian space industry. He has been awarded the title Hero of the Russian Federation, the Order of Merit for the Fatherland 3rd class, and the Order of Friendship.
