Aleksandr Aleksandrovich Misurkin

BIOGRAPHY
Aleksandr Aleksandrovich Misurkin (born 3 September 1977 in Moscow, Russia) is a retired Russian cosmonaut and Colonel in the Russian Air Force. Selected as part of the TsPK-14 group in 2006, he completed two longโ€‘duration missions to the International Space Station: Expedition 35/36 aboard Soyuz TMA-08M in 2013โ€‘2014 and Expedition 53/54 aboard Soyuz MS-06 in 2017โ€‘2018, accumulating 346 days 7 hours 12 minutes in space. Misurkin performed four spacewalks totaling 25 hours 47 minutes, contributing to ISS assembly and maintenance. He holds the Order of Courage and the Medal "For Merit in Space Exploration" among other honors. He retired from active flight status in 2023.
